Riding Safari

Riding Ability

A good standard of riding is required for the Horse Safaris. You should be able to ride 4 to 6 hours a day and you must be able to control a spirited horse and be able to gallop out of trouble.

Whilst our pace will be steady through the bush to enable us to see the maximum of wildlife, we do have areas suitable for galloping. If you can ride but do not do so on a regular basis then we suggest you take up riding before coming to join us, so your fitness level will be better and you will enjoy your stay more if you are not worn out by the extra exercise!

If however you have a non-riding partner or member of your party, they too are catered for. Non-riders get a true off road experience, travelling with Martin in our 4x4 through the bush, gamespotting along the way and meeting up with the riding party for lunch and at evening camp. Non-riders even get to help set up camp, this is quite an experience in itself!
